Description
LMIA, employer portal, BC PNP, Express Entry, NOC code, “sponsorship”, oh my!
As a Canadian employer or HR professional hiring and managing an international workforce, you’ve likely heard many of these terms before. We can all agree that understanding and utilizing Canada’s immigration programs and systems is time-consuming and can be confusing and overwhelming. It’s no wonder, considering there are over 120 permanent residency programs and 50+ types of work permits, not to mention different levels and departments of government responsible for these programs.
If you’re looking to up-level your understanding of Canadian immigration and learn tangible ways to leverage international talent to fill labour and skills shortages, then this workshop is for you!
Through interactive activities and case studies, you will learn tangible skills that you can actually take back and apply in your organization, including how to:
- Evaluate and select work permit programs
- Utilize the NOC system and select the correct code
- Understand the different types of job offers and employer obligations
- Differentiate between points systems and calculate an employee’s score to gauge your ability to hire or retain them
- Evaluate employee permanent residency options and understand your role in the process
Get ready to roll up your sleeves and get to work in this highly interactive, 3-hour workshop!
Spaces are limited so, reserve your seat today.
