Celebrate Whistler's innovators, trailblazers and community cultivators. Whistler’s black tie business and community awards are bringing over 400 locals together (including some special surprise guests) for one big night to build brands and honour local legends. With emcee extraordinaire, Feet Banks on the mic we’re guaranteed a wild ride to celebrate the roots of excellence like only Whistler can.

EMCEED BY: FEET BANKS
Feet Banks was raised by wolves in Northern British Columbia until his biological parents opted to relocate the whole family to Whistler when he was 11 years old. Feet graduated from Pemberton High School in 1994 and was awarded a (fake?) gold watch from the Whistler Chamber of Commerce the next year for his busboy skills at Sushi Village. He attended the University of Victoria to study writing and film and, after graduating, returned home to the mountains to continue living the dream. He currently edits Mountain Life Magazine and has held a weekly movie column in the Pique Newsmagazine for 13 years. Feet lives in Squamish with his fiancé and 6-year-old son. You want to talk roots of excellence?  Roots don’t get any deeper (or more excellent) than the ones sprouting from Feet’s feet.

Presented by the Whistler Chamber in partnership with the Community Foundation of Whistler, the Whistler Arts Council and the Whistler Centre for Sustainability, the Awards honour excellence in the areas of service, innovation, sustainability, outstanding leadership in the arts, business and community service.  The Rising Star Award catapults careers for those under 40 on the fast track to success!
