Line Cook

We are seeking a full-time Line Cook to support daily kitchen operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items during service while maintaining food safety, cleanliness, and consistency in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Main Duties

  • Prepare, season, and cook food items according to established recipes and standards
  • Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies
  • Cook menu items during service, including appetizers, mains, and side dishes
  • Maintain food quality and portion control
  • Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace health regulations
  • Clean and maintain workstations, equipment, and kitchen areas
  • Assist with food preparation, portioning, and proper food storage
  • Work as part of a team to ensure efficient kitchen operations

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience as a cook or line cook in a commercial kitchen
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of basic cooking methods and kitchen equipment
  • Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Education

  • Secondary school diploma preferred
  • Culinary training is an asset but not required
