Accounts Payable Supervisor (Whistler, BC)

Gibbons Whistler is looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Supervisor who will be responsible for overseeing the accounts payable process and ensuring timely payments to vendors and suppliers.

Offering $55,000 to $65,000 per year to start plus tons of amazing perks including discounts on local activities, restaurants and bars and hotels!

THE PERFECT CANDIDATE:
>2 to 3+ years of experience in accounts payable or related field is preferred.
>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is an asset.
>Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
>Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
>Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
>Attention to detail and accuracy.
>Experience in supervising a team of accounts payable professionals.
>Experience in process improvement and implementing best practices.
>Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements.

DUTIES INCLUDE:
>Oversee the accounts payable department and ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports.
>Develop and maintain accounts payable policies and procedures.
>Ensure compliance with company policies.
>Monitor and analyze accounts payable processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
>Collaborate with operations to ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices.
>Manage vendor relationships and resolve any issues or disputes related to payments or invoices.
>Prepare and analyze accounts payable reports, including aging reports, and vendor performance metrics.
>Train and develop accounts payable staff, including setting performance goals and conducting performance evaluations.
>Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes for accounts payable.
>Assist with audits and provide documentation and support as needed.
